Cookie policy

How Boundary Index uses cookies on this site.

Last updated: 7 May 2026

This policy covers the public Boundary Index website operated by Boundary Index Ltd.. It explains the browser storage we use, what is optional, and how to change your choice.

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. This site also uses local storage and session storage, which can remember preferences or consent decisions without sending a cookie header on every request.

Essential storage

We use functional storage to remember consent state and theme preference. It keeps the site usable and does not track you for advertising or profiling. Under UK PECR and UK GDPR, storage that is strictly necessary for the service does not require opt-in consent.

Analytics storage

Analytics are optional. If the first-party Umami collector is not explicitly enabled for the site, no analytics events leave the browser. If it is enabled, the site still waits for an explicit allow choice before sending browser events. You can change your preference from Cookie settings in the footer.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), you can:

  • Withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time.
  • Ask for access to data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to delete data where the law allows deletion.
  • Complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.

Managing cookies

Cookie settings in the footer control optional analytics for this site. Your browser settings can also block or clear cookies and storage. If you block all storage, parts of the site may forget your preferences. Browser-specific instructions are available at aboutcookies.org.
